Kenneth Michael Cottrell is an Award-Winning Textile Designer with a 1st class degree in Fashion & Textiles (Print) from Liverpool John Moores University in 1997.

Following graduation, Ken has experienced a variety of Design industries such as Textiles, Greeting Cards, Illustration and Graphics. Ken is a Talented and Creative all rounder, which is essential in the Freelance world of Art and Design.

Ken’s Style of work has always been fuelled by a fascination with Texture, Composition, Colour, Typography and Linear Detail that Expresses itself through Painting, Drawing and Collage that are brought together in a Digital enviroment.

His achievements range from winning Textile competitions to selling Designs and Artwork to clients in Europe, America and Japan. He has also Exhibited work in numerous Galleries and Trade Fairs in the UK, Paris & New York. Ken’s work is regularly published on Greetings Cards, Stationery and Gift Wrap for the Retail High Street and Personalised Greetings Cards for Corporate Businesses, as he has gained over six years experience in this field of Design.

Travel, Architecture, History and Cultures interest him and have played a vital part in Ken’s life and Artwork. He’s enjoyed visiting major cities such as London, New York, Paris, Barcelona, Glasgow, Brussels, Prague, Cologne, Boston, Miami and Montreal. His most valuable inspiration was his trip to Brittainy which if you browse the “My Art Painting Gallery” you can easily recognise his influences.

When time allows Ken enjoys using his Creative Flair and Talent elsewhere on the 5 a-side football pitch. Well he tries! However the majority of his pastime is taken up by watching inspirational programmes on CBEEBIES such as Charlie & Lola with his young family.
